Alberta Ferretti Fall/Winter 2012
Milan Fashion Week
February, 22Alberta Ferretti decided to play the Breakfast at Tiffany’s soundtrack for the Fall 2012 presentation at Milan Fashion Week. With an array of 60’s inspired garments with a fresh and modern touch, this is certainly a collection that won my heart over.
Opening the show, a gorgeous black embellished halter-neck dress. This garment really set the tone for the rest of the collection, and anyone who is a lover of cocktail dresses will be most pleased with this. From embellished dresses of beads, lace and sheer, to structured menswear inspired pieces, this collection offers a lot of elegance and sophistication throughout. The final few pieces included a number of sheer gowns that again were heavily embellished and looked very romantic and sensual.
This is such a vast improvement from the Pre-Fall 2012 offering which left me rather disappointed. Gone are the prints and unnecessary hats, Fall 2012 offers sleek silhouettes and an up-do-date take on Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

wicked cool, love the two middle pieces, actually really like the continuity of them all — top row is perfection though
